The company distributes, supplies and installs external lighting to residential and commercial clients.
DEPOSIT AND ORDERS
All orders placed with We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd will be subject to acceptance in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
The confirmation stage of the process begins when we have received your deposit to secure your booking. This amount is usually but not limited to the cost of the purchase of your lights. When lights have already been purchased from a previous booking, then 50% of the written quotation cost will be required as a deposit.
Following this, we will send you an order acknowledgment e-mail detailing the products you have ordered followed by your invoice. Please note that this e-mail is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from us. Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on completion of the installation on your property of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or have cancelled it.
Deposits will not be refunded in the case of cancelled orders, and any goods/products that have been purchased using your deposit will remain the property of We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd.
The goods/products shall remain the property of We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd, until such time as the final payment has been received by We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd.
WHEL will follow best practise to stop the spread of Covid -19. We always stay alert and take precautionary measures when interacting with you. To help maintain social distancing and to help keep you and our team safe, we must ask that you keep 2 metres away from us, respect our personal space and avoid close contact.
WHEL Covid-19 measures include, but are not limited to the following actions:
- All Staff are “Covid Aware” - Guidance has been given on signs and symptoms they need to be aware of and are advised to keep themselves up to date with the latest Government guidance.
- All Staff have disposable gloves and facemasks available and are encouraged to use them when deemed necessary or when government guidance deems it a requirement.
- We continue to maintain the 2m social distancing guidance in all client/team meetings both in and out of our offices.
- We have made available Facemasks, Gloves and have hand sanitiser with us when we are carrying out your quote, installation and takedown.
- WHCL work with the same team every day. We Use fixed teams or shift patterns to reduce the number of people each person comes into contact with.
- When we need to enter your property, if possible, please open the windows to keep good ventilation in the rooms we use. We will always wear masks. If we need to use your facilities, we will keep 2 meters away from you whilst in your property, please tell your members of the household to keep away. We will always follow good handwashing practise.
In accordance with the Government and NHS if you are displaying or if you live with others that are displaying the following symptoms, a high temperature and or a new, continuous cough we must ask that you inform us ASAP and cancel your installation. We will not be able refund you for the deposit you have paid as we will have already booked a team for your instal and in some cased purchased lights for you. We will however do our best to rebook you for a later date however this cannot be any sooner than 14 days from diagnoses.
If our team fall ill and test positive for Covid-19, we will work with you as best we can. This may include posting you your lights that you have purchased or giving you a refund for your deposit or rebooking you for another date or another team.
12 MONTH WARRANTY
All products are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase; however, the guarantee is void if the goods when returned show signs of misuse, neglect, damaged caused by accident or the goods have been altered or modified electrically. Only the correct transformer/power supply should be used in conjunction with all the products we supply, using alternative transformers/power supplies will void your warranty/guarantee. We have a no hassle returns service for any faulty products.
We offer a free call out service for 14 days from the date of installation to come back to your property to make good any lights that have fallen or malfunctioned. However, if the lights have been tampered with or vandalised in anyway then we will charge a call out to you, this is charged at a minimum rate of £250 plus the cost of any lights that need replacing plus any heigth equipment required. This will be discussed with you before any repairs are carried out.
We accept BACS and faster online payment. Cash is also accepted. Payment must be paid at the latest on the morning of the day of the installation. Please use your Surname or business name as a reference.

We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd and its suppliers, content providers and advertisers hereby expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity and shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever, including but without limitation to any direct, indirect, special, consequential, punitive or incidental damages, or damages for loss of use, profits, data or other intangibles, damage to goodwill or reputation, or the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services, arising out of or related to the use, inability to use, performance or failures of any materials posted thereon, irrespective of whether such damages were foreseeable or arise in contract, tort, equity, restitution, by statute, at common law or otherwise.
We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd recognises its responsibilities under the Health and Safety at work etc. Act, 1974, for ensuring, so far as it is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all its employees and anyone else who may be affected by our work activities.
The company attaches the greatest importance to health and safety, considering this to be a management responsibility ranking equally with other management functions within the organisation.
It is the policy of this company to take all reasonably practicable precautions for the prevention of accidents and dangerous occurrences and for the creation of working conditions that safeguard employees and others that may be affected by their work activities. To this end the company has allocated the necessary resources to ensure the effective training, supervision and support for employees to enable them to fully understand the company’s Health & Safety Policy and enable them to fulfil their duties under current legislation.
The company regards the standards set by the various relevant statutory provisions as the minimum standard which must be achieved and will endeavour to improve these standards where reasonably practicable.
Adverse weather will impact our ability to be able to decorate the exterior of your property, as working at height in snow, ice and high winds is against company health and safety policy, due to the risks involved in this to you, members of the public and ourselves.
We will endeavour to work with you to get back to your property to complete the installation or take down as soon as possible.
LAW AND JURISDICTION
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute which may arise. We request that in the event of a dispute that the court be held at Maidstone County Court in Kent, as this is our closest court.
You confirm that you are the property owner or in case of tenant that you have written confirmation from the owner landlord, to allow electrical decorations to be installed to the property, trees and bushes with fixings that may be drilled or glued to the property leaving permanent markings to the building, lawn, trees, bushes and driveway areas. You acknowledge that whilst We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd will take care to not damage your property, we do not take any accountability to any damaged caused by ourselves or products that we supply.
You confirm that you have valid insurance for your property and its contents in the event of fire, flood, theft and damage caused by a third party.
You are over the age of 18 and of sound body and mind.
You confirm that whilst We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd will work to your requirements, perception and budget, We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd hold no responsibility if you are not satisfied with the product or services and you will make payment to We Hang Event Lights UK Ltd when they have advised they have completed their services.
REFER A FRIEND - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please note that this offer is subject to the following:
- The referred friend/family must accept the quote within 20 days and the invoice deposit must be paid in full.
- The referral must not be an existing referral.
- You must ensure that you obtain consent from your friend/family that we can contact them and provide us ONLY with their name, address and contact details i.e. telephone number or email address.
- We will provide the gift card by email, to an email address of your choice, within 60 days of the inception of the invoice fully paid.
- Subject to the terms above where payments are made under this scheme, we will not also make payments under another scheme, incentive, offer, promotion or initiative that we may be running concurrently.
We reserve the right to alter, cancel or withdraw this offer at any time, without entering into correspondence or giving notice
If we do withdraw the scheme, we will honour the offer for legitimate referrals received to the date the scheme is withdrawn.
We may take some photographs of your property to keep a record of how it looks before and after we have decorated it, these will be used for putting together your quotation and for displaying on our website and social media pages. If you wish for us not to display them on our website or social media pages, please do let us know and we will only use them for internal use.
We Hang Event Lights UK Limited collects personally identifiable information, such as your email address, name, home or work address or telephone number for the sole purpose of answering your inquiry and potentially fulfilling your order.
The lawful reasons for processing your data:
Personal data is held only in relation to our business activities as a lawful requirement. Data is stored in accordance with HMRC requirements.
We Hang Event Lights UK Limited also collects anonymous demographic and technical information via Google Analytics.
We Hang Event Lights UK Limited will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. We Hang Event Lights UK Limited encourages you to periodically review this statement to be informed of how We Hang Event Lights UK Limited is protecting your information.
